Ever since I lost my goggles, I've been swimming goggle-less like a true warrior. The only downside is that after a few hours, my eyes turn bloodshot like I've been eshing in dark alleyways and my view becomes all cloudy in a striking resemblance to impressionist paintings. Yes,
Monet 24/7.

It's raining outside!

In other news; I'm 19 soon! This rapid progression towards senility is rather traumatizing indeed. Pretty soon I'll be knitting scarves on my front porch with a gazillion grumpy old cats. Until that day, I shall be rejoicing in my vibrant youth and glorious independence. Goodnight all x

Took a train from Platform 7 3/4 and paid this little fellow a visit today.

Upon arrival, I was confronted with a Mt. Everest stack of paperwork. Should the Ministry of Magic pay your fees? Are you taking POTIONS 1021 or DEF. AGAINST THE DARK ARTS 2054? Interested in joining the Quiddich team? All those colourful pages smirked at me as I struggled to find a place to start.

However that was only the beginning..

The sorting process was about to start, and as I stepped into the Great Hall, all I could see was a sea of amateur wizards with an occasional gypsy smuggled in between. At the end of the hall, I glimpsed the almighty sorting hat that was coughing and spluttering in its senile state. I took my place at the end of a seemingly endless line and hoped for the best.

And so I waited .. and waited ..

..

..

And waited ..

..

You may listen to this song while we wait..

..

And waited ..

..

SPOT THE GYPSY!!!!!!!!!!!!

..

And waited ..

- 3.5 hours later -

"HARRY PLEASE STEP FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Finally, I thought to myself.

Hat: hmm.. yer a wizard Harry!
Me: I'm a ............WHAT?!
Hat: yer a wizard Harry!!
Me: I'm a ........................... WHAT?!

Amid this state of profound confusion and as driven by my passionate desire to live a muggleborn life, I bolted for the door and ran like crazy maniac. FREEDOM AT LAST!!! I've never been so grateful to escape from that dungeon of hell.

THE END.

Went to Rafael Lozano-Hemmer's Recorders Exhibition at the MCA today. It involves a series of interactive installations as social commentary on technology/surveillance/invasion of privacy, which was really interesting. I'd definitely recommend it! See here for more details http://mcarecorders.com.au/ (IT'S FREE BTW)

Pulse Room - Lightbulbs that flash according to your pulse. When you leave, the next lightbulb along the line inherits your pulse and initial lightbulb takes on the pulse of the next person.

People on People.

For lunch I had some super-chilli Malaysian curry at Mamak and I was full trash-talking people with massive moles (Austin Powers Gold Member, anyone?)

..until I turned around and saw this chick behind me with a massive mole. Uh-oh..

Kinda just roamed around afterwards. Suddenly remembered that Ben and Jerry's opened today in Chatswood and were offering free icecream so in a stroke of spontaneity decided to exploit this bargain. When we arrived there was this MASSIVE queue of Asians, with some devouring their ice cream while lining up for another one. Apparently some people went back 9-10 times LOL. The epitome of being Asian. The icecream itself was really nice though! Definitely worth trying :)

In other news, WTF HEWITT WON FKKKKKKKKK :(. Not cool.

Dear the fair men and women of the Australian Open tennis crew,

I have a few kind words for all of you. Encouraging as they may be for some, it could be said otherwise for the rest.

Djokovic, you are the embodiment of everything that is wonderful in this world. May you
annihilate every challenger that stands in your way, drive Fedex off the rails and show that big brute of muscle Mr. Nadal that it takes more than perennal ass-grabbing to win a championship. Disregard Murray, as per usual.

Now, Mr RF/peRFect/Fedex etc etc. I have great respect for you, I do. It's just that things didn't really work out between us and my heart kinda stopped when Djokovic came into the picture. You're still one of my favourites and may you perform outstandingly! When you retire, I recommend modelling for Italian/Swiss suits and going swimming in your pool of earnings. (if Mr. Cigana can do it, why can't you?)

RAFA! I'm slightly afraid of posting anything negative about you because the king of muscle and strength Mr. Arkash Jeyaaklsjdaksd is an avid supporter of yours and just might rearrange my face. However, I would like to depart with this; WHY DON'T YOU JUST STOP BUYING XXS CK BRIEFS? (wow mindfuck!!!!!!!). It's really not that hard, they are available at most department stores.

Speaking of department stores and tennis apparel, Mr. I-Kinda-Look-Like-Christiano-Ronald0 Verdasco's traffic light outfit was quite amusing I must say. Bad luck for the defeat in the tennis department though. Tomic is a bloody gun! :D It'll be great if he can reply to my 3098409384093 fan posts on Twitter. Or Facebook. Or Myspace. Or the antique social networking site Bebo designed for the status-confused teens of today.

Okay enough of this sentimental bullshit. MR LLEYTON HEWITT, MAY I ASK WHAT YOU ARE DOING IN TACKLING THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN FOR THE 16th TIME? Your golden years were over a decade ago mate. Those pathetic "CMONNNNNNNNN"s are a relic of the past and should be left undisturbed in its grave. I could not believe my eyes that this was the response elicited after a 1st round win.

It makes me wonder what's installed for Round 2 (if by a stroke of miraculous luck you do emerge victorious).

Now to women's tennis.

..

..

The most exciting thing I've seen so far is Stosur's embarrassingly loss in the first round. And
perhaps Serena William's roid-driven physique that left James Le paralysed with a mingling sense of jealousy and shame.

YOU JELLY?!?!

Anyways since Li Na copied my haircut and piercings, my money's on her to win the Aus Open. :) Until then, I shall eagerly anticipate Round 2.

xx

I feel like embarking on an adventure.

Long time no see, my dear friend. Let's have a cuppa while we chat.

You ask me how I am? To that I can only answer "great". I'm well aware that it is the generic response but I cannot deny the truth. It's the new year, after all, and that demands a new beginning and a fresh outlook on life.

31st of December passed by in a whirl, despite our 15 hour camp in the blistering heat for the midnight fireworks. The 12mins of extraordinary made it all worthwhile. I think that serves as a good example for alot of things in life. The path may be long and tedious, but hey, that makes victory all the sweeter. I was going to take photos for future references but then I decided to just live it. If it is amazing enough, it'll be imprinted on my mind for quite a while :). Which takes me to another New Year's Reso - to just enjoy and appreciate life! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE.

I've decided to learn to cook this year. Yes, my fulfilment of womanly duties have been long impending but it shall no longer be prolonged. Believe it or not, I've cooked dinner every night since New Years :). I know its not much but hey, got to start somewhere right?

What else is on the agenda? Driving of course (oh dear, evacuate the roads). Going to book an instructor tomorrow and conquer my astronomic fear of being behind the wheel.

And then there's the whole job-hunting business. I sincerely hope that those sneaky jobs are merely ambushing behind them bushes and waiting to pounce my way because so far my hunt has been rather futile. I shall be empty-handed no longer! I will search through the deepest crevices for that one and only. You just wait you little snitch.

To welcome the new year, I've also finally cleaned out my wardrobe! (along with my room). The end result? 3 massive bags of old clothes destined for charity and a superrrrrrrrr-tidy little space.

Excuse my pathetic pose.

I think I might start doing some charity work as well. Soup kitchen last year was a one-off heartwarming experience and I hope to be more involved in the community this year. Dad always said giving is a blessing so :)

Also, I was thinking of gaining some good hard muscle on my tummy this year by exercising 2-3 times a week (none of that hardcore lifting business). To compliment this, I think I might join a dance class. PLEASE COME LEARN WITH ME! Tuesday night, hiphop at Parra.

In addition, I seek get back into reading, music and the arts this year. Gna dust off my antique piano and blast out some tunes! (if I'm still capable) I also want to learn a few nice songs on guitar but this will be a long process. Or maybe I'll busk one day with someone who can sing reallllllllllllllly well to mask my lack of guitaring abilities. Venturing into photography has also been a long dream of mine but that can wait until I get an SLR :)

And finally, LOVE THY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FOES ALIKE! SEIZE THE DAY!!!!!!

Would you like more sugar with that?

TOM'S NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

1. Start to learn a new language! I have finally rediscovered my fascination with French, many years after being scarred deeply by the teachings of one Mademoiselle poshib, but never fear, as long as i dont have to see through one of her terrible lessons again, I think it will be fine =D

2. Take ballroom dancing classes! Because classy women know how to dance LOL

3. Exercise at least 4 days a week and eat healthy (actually considered turning vegan... but decided that it was too hard. What would you put in your sandwhich????!!)

4. Save up for my very own car =D

5. Stay happy, be more optimistic and take every opportunity thrown my way!

EVERYONE POST UP NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS PLEASE! *cough* george *cough*
