I have to admit, the circulation of SG posts hasn't been quite liquid lately (ie. since last year). But surely that doesn't spell out the end for http://www.s2-sg.blogspot.com/? So, with the onslaught of 2011 reinvigorating my inner passion for blogspot rants, I've decided to demolish the R.I.P SG BLOG tombstone and dig up this blog from its dusty grave.

Like soulmates who haven't communicated for a prolongued period of time, you would start off by politely inquiring about my recent undertakings:

Person X says: sup betyy hows it doen (NB: doen = doing in Amolad's dictionary)
Person X says: betty*

Well ..

For those who have been living under a rock (and one of gigantic proportions at that), IT'S 1/1/11 TODAY! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THOSE WHO ARE SOBER ENOUGH TO READ THIS! The NYE party at Tay's was heaps good and needless to say most of us (including me) were up the whole night in celebration of the upcoming year. I'm quite surprised that I didn't crash at around 4-6am (my danger zone) this morning, but I certainly did this afternoon at 2pm. Upon waking up feeling like a trashy Miley Cyrus, I have since then regained the tranquility and composure of my former self.

What else did I get up to? Oh yes, Boxing Day Sales - a girl and a guy's (DON'T LIE) best friend. Man, boxing day sales in Myer is akin to WWIII. You wade through piles and piles of clothes that litter the ground, you sabotage enemy plans to obtain economical purchases and you are literally ON THE HUNT for the best deal out there. It is quite an amalgation of hair-pulling, nails-scratching, bitch-slapping and balls-kicking (if you have any), and in the end there can only be, alas, 1 winner. Now this is where the proverb "early bird catches the worm" comes into place. For those eager few Tweety birds who dragged themselves out of beds at ridiculous hours in the morning, they returned home as happy boffins with a truckload of worms. Conversely, for those late birds who were too busy partying at Sesame street with Big Bird, worms are a scarce resource. I am a late bird. FML.

Regardless, the day was fun, and Taylor, Tonia and I finished the day with haircuts in Eastwood. Yes I have short hair now :)

Hm.. I know its of the SG tradition to publish our New Year's Resolutions here, I'm afraid that that will not be the case this year as they are quite beetroot-face inducing and lacks presence in the current state. My sincere apologies for depriving your eyes of such unparalleled greatness.

So what's on the agenda for the rest of the month? as you may ask. Well, I seek to establish a set of goals for this year, cherish the times I share with my friends, and live a simple life (not the Paris Hilton & Nicole Richie kind). Fuck regrets you know? Life is too short for that. (And yet I'm still the biggest hyprocrite out aiiiish)

And yeah, that's all from me for now. Take care over the holidays and give that friend who you haven't talked to for a while a call, just to tell them how much you miss them and how special they are to you. Because in the end, it's these friends who will brave the storms and hurricanes in life with you.

I love you all.

xx

Betty.
